Hui Zhang Customer Complaints
He has been the subject of four customer complaints between 2015 and 2022, one of which was denied, according to his CRD report:
February 2022. “Claimant alleges an unsuitable investment recommendation which resulted in losses.” The case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding fixed annuity losses.
July 2021. “Claimants allege that their registered representative recommended unsuitable investments.” The case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding real estate security losses.
March 2015. “Clients allege misrepresentation.” The customer sought $4,000 in damages and the case was settled for $7,919. The complaint was regarding certificate of deposit (CD) losses.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Cetera Investment Advisers LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Hui Zhang’s customers.
