October 2019. “Approximately 2016-March 2018; Claimants allege a breach of fiduciary duty, and negligence in reference to private placements offerings the claimants purchased.” The customer sought $620,000 in damages and the case was settled for $1,500,000. The complaint was regarding private placements and took place while he was registered with Accelerated Capital Group and Aeon Capital Inc.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Aeon Capital Inc. may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Timothy Thelen’s customers.
