He has been the subject of three customer complaints between 2008 and 2021, according to his CRD report. The most recent complaints were regarding:
June 2021. “Claimants allege that the recommendation of investments in 2016 and 2018 were not suitable and that misrepresentations/omissions were made with regard to certain investment products.” The customer sought $3 million in damages, and the case was settled for $280,000. The complaint was regarding direct investment losses, and it took place while he was registered with FSC Securities Corporation.
February 2021. “Claimants allege that Mr. Park sold them alternative investments that were unsuitable.” The case was settled for $45,000. The complaint was regarding direct investment and business development corporations (BDC) losses, and it took place while he was registered with Cambridge Investment Research, Inc.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, FSC Securities Corporation may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by David Park’s customers.
