February 2024. “Breach of Fiduciary Duty, Negligence, Failure to Supervise, Failure to Recommend Suitable Investments, Failure to Act in Claimants Best Interest, Unauthorized Trading, Misrepresentation and Omission of Material Facts.” The customer is seeking $250,000 in damages, and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding private placements, and it took place while he was registered with Spartan Capital Securities, LLC.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Spartan Capital Securities, LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Stephen Skokos’ customers.
