February 2024. “The complainant alleges that since approximately 2021, his registered representative invested in volatile foreign companies, and risky bank and high-risk stocks, that were not suitable or in his best interest, that resulted in him losing over $200,000.” The customer is seeking $200,000.01 in damages, and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding common and preferred stocks, and it took place while he was registered with MML Investors Services, LLC.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, MML Investors Services, LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Adam Mahd’s customers.
