March 2023. “Customer alleges representative recommended investments in structured products which were not suitable for customer’s risk tolerance. Activity period May 2021-March 2023.” The customer is seeking $100,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was related to structured product losses.
February 2021. “Claimants allege that purchases of certain investments for their portfolios made ten years ago were unsuitable. activity period: 12/11 to 8/26/20.” The customer sought $100,000 in damages, and the case was settled for $14,500. The complaint was related to variable annuity, structured products, and alternative investment losses.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, LPL Financial LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Angelo Anello’s customers.
