August 2019. “Claimant alleges his son impersonated him in a phone call with the Firm’s Branch Office Administrator and Financial Advisor. A fraudulently signed withdrawal form was faxed to the branch and funds were distributed to a bank account without Claimant’s authorization. Claimant alleges Edward Jones failed to take adequate steps to protect his assets and, in doing so, breached its fiduciary duty and acted negligently.” The customer is seeking $854,000 in damages and the case is currently pending.
