Former Morgan Stanley broker David Turetzky (CRD# 2954337) faces multiple customer complaints regarding customer investment losses. Turetzky has been registered with Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC in Saddle Brook, New Jersey since January 2019. Previously, Turetzky was registered with Liberty Partners Capital Management, LLC in Ramsey, New Jersey from 2018 to 2019. Previously, Turetzsky was registered with Liberty Partners Financial Services, LLC in Mt Pleasant, South Carolina from 2018 to 2019 and with Morgan Stanley in New York, New York from 2009 to 2017.
Turetzky has been the subject of four customer complaints between 2018 and 2020, according to his CRD report:
- July 2020. “Claimants allege, failure to supervise with respect to Financial Advisor’s management of accounts – July 2014 to December 2016.” The case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding a non-broker-dealer affiliate product and took place while Turetzky was registered with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
- July 2020. “Claimants allege, failure to supervise with respect to Financial Advisor’s management of accounts – July 2014 to December 2016.” The case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding a non-broker-dealer affiliate product and took place while Turetzky was registered with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
- June 2020. “Claimants allege, failure to supervise with respect to Financial Advisor’s management of accounts – July 2014 to December 2016.” The case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding a non-broker-dealer affiliate product and took place while Turetzky was registered with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
- August 2018. “Claimants allege failure to supervise with respect to the FA’s management of the accounts – 2011 to 2016.” The case was settled for $1,200,000. The complaint was regarding government debt and took place while Turetzky was registered with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Morgan Stanley may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Turetzky’s customers.
