Dudzik was previously registered with Janney Montgomery Scott LLC in Providence, Rhode Island from 1998 to 2020.
In March 2020, a former client of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC won an award in a FINRA arbitration for compensatory damages for $125,000 for losses sustained from energy limited partnerships. The investors were clients of brokers Dudzik and Steven Piatassi (CRD# 1000558). Pitassi has been registered with Janney Montgomery Scott LLC in Providence, Rhode Island since 1981.
The causes of action included breach of fiduciary duty, failure to supervise, unsuitability and negligence. The causes of action relate to an Energy Limited Partnership. The FINRA arbitration hearing was conducted in Providence, Rhode Island.
Dudzik has also been the subject of three additional customer complaints between 2013 and 2020, one of which was denied, according to his CRD report:
November 2020. “Rhode Island client complains that the fees associated with their accounts were not fully disclosed and were higher than stated between 2009 – 2020. Clients further complain that investments made in a hedge fund and an annuity were not suitable.” The customer is seeking $10 million in damages. The complaint is regarding mutual funds and annuities and took place while Dudzik was registered with Janney Montgomery Scott LLC.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Janney Montgomery Scott LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Dudzik and Pitassi’s customers.
