January 2021. “The complainant alleges that beginning in or around 2012, his portfolio was churned when inappropriate transactions were made in an effort to maximize the rep’s commissions at his expense.” The customer is seeking $200,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint is regarding variable and fixed annuities and insurance investments.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, MML Investors Services, LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Nathan’s customers.
