Leon has been registered with Newbridge Securities Corporation in Boca Raton, Florida since April 2020. Previously, Leon was registered with Stoever, Glass & Company Inc. in Boca Raton, Florida from 2017 to 2020, when he was terminated regarding, “Mr. Leon violated the firm’s policies and procedures and the terms of his heightened supervisory agreement by calling a financial institution and impersonating a mutual client.”
Leon has been the subject of seven customer complaints between 2000 and 2020, two of which were denied, according to his CRD report. The most recent complaint is regarding:
August 2020. “Customer alleged that former registered representative, Howard Leon (“Leon”) (CRD# 2158589), misrepresented the risks associated with municipal bonds when he told them they were good and safe bonds. Customer is upset because his bonds are down in value and he has lost about 50% of his investments due to Leon’s bad recommendations.” The case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding municipal debt.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Stoever, Glass & Company Inc. may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Leon’s customers.
