Former Edward Jones financial advisor Curtis Howard (CRD# 1390753) has pending $1 million customer complaint for investment losses. Howard has been registered with Harbor Financial Services, LLC in Mobile, Alabama since September 2017. Previously, Howard was registered with Edward Jones in Sapulpa, Oklahoma from 1985 to 2017, when he was terminated regarding, “Mr. Howard’s employment was terminated by the Firm’s HR Department. Concerns had been raised relating to professionalism and judgment.”

Howard has been the subject of two customer complaints between 2008 and 2018, according to his CRD report. The most recent report is regarding:

Juy 2018. “Plaintiff alleges breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, breach of contract, fraud by nondisclosure, common law fraud, breach of duty of good faith and fair dealing, and intentional infliction of emotional distress during the time period defendant Howard handled plaintiff’s accounts starting in December 2015.” The customer is seeking $1 million in damages and the case is currently pending.

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Edward Jones may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Howard’s customers.
