September 2023. “Claim alleges, inter alia, that the trading strategy implemented in the client’s account was not in her best interest 2020-2022.” The customer is seeking $750,000 in damages, and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding a non-broker-dealer affiliate product. 

July 2023. “Claimants allege, inter alia, misrepresentation with respect to investments in a managed account 2021-2022.” The case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding managed/wrap accounts and a non-broker-dealer affiliate product. 

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Morgan Stanley may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by James Monken’s customers.
