Were you the victim of NYLife Securities LLC broker Jeffrey Perryman (CRD# 2019969)? He has been registered with NYLife Securities LLC in Johnstown, Colorado, from 1990 to 2024, when he was terminated regarding, “Jeffrey Perryman resigned after the Company found that he exceeded the scope of his approved activities as an investment adviser representative of its affiliate, in part, by charging fees to a customer for services that he failed to disclose to the Company.”

In October 2024, he was barred after he “consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that he refused to provide information and documents requested by FINRA in connection with its investigation into his potential undisclosed OBAs, including charging fees to a customer for services that he failed to disclose to his member firm.”

Jeffrey Perryman Customer Complaints

He has been the subject of six customer complaints between 2000 and 2024, one of which was closed without action, according to his CRD report. The most recent complaints were regarding: 

September 2024. “The Customer alleges she did not sign several account transaction forms.” The case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding insurance losses

July 2024. “The Customer alleged that variable annuities purchased in June 2021 were not set up with any regard or benefit to her. The customer has requested closing the accounts and waiving surrender charges.” The case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding variable annuity losses.

June 2024. “The Customer alleges in February 2022, he was misled into purchasing front-loaded mutual funds to pay for life insurance policy premiums. Among other things, the customer is requesting the return of the upfront fees.” The case was settled for $81,462.40. The complaint was regarding fixed and variable annuities and insurance losses. 

May 2024. “The Customer has alleged life insurance and annuity policies purchased between October 2013 to April 2023 were misrepresented as liquid and loans were used to purchase new policies.” The case was settled for $118,273.75. The complaint was regarding mutual funds and insurance losses. 

April 2024. “The Customers allege, among other things, that beginning in May 2017, Class A mutual fund shares were liquidated and repurchased; they were sold a large number of VUL policies in excess of their insurance needs, and they were charged inappropriate advisory fees. The Customers seek rescission of the policies and refunding of all advisory fees.” The case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding mutual funds and insurance losses. 

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, NYLife Securities LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Jeffrey Perryman’s customers.
