September 2023. “The complainants allege that their registered representative, beginning in or around 2021, made material misrepresentations in the sale of Whole Life Insurance and Variable Annuities, and falsified signatures and made fraudulent representations on insurance applications.” The customer sought $5,000,000 in damages, and the case was settled for $450,000. The complaint was regarding variable annuities and whole life insurance, and it took place while he was registered with MML Investors Services, LLC.
September 2023. “The complainant alleges that his registered representative, misrepresented the Variable Annuity, issued on or around, March 12, 2021, and would not have agreed to the investment, if adequate disclosures were made, as well as being charged for fees in his Managed/Wrap account, which was opened in or around. January 06, 2021, that was not truly managed, and lost money, while market benchmarks enjoyed positive returns.” The customer sought $99,000 in damages, and the case was settled for $20,000. The complaint was regarding variable annuities and managed wrap accounts, and it took place while he was registered with MML Investors Services, LLC.
