Former Voya Financial Advisors, Inc. broker Samuel Head (CRD# 2456312) faces customer complaints regarding suitability. Head has been registered with Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC in Seneca, Columbia, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina since June 2020. Previously, Head was registered with Voya Financial Advisors, Inc. in Columbia, South Carolina from 1998 to June 2020.

Head has been the subject of six customer complaints between 2020 and 2003, one of which was denied, according to his CRD report. Recent complaints are regarding:

  • January 2021. “Claimant alleges investments sold to him in 2014 were unsuitable and too risky based on his desire to avoid long term, illiquid investments, which caused damages of $85,000.” The customer is seeking $85,000 in damages.
  • October 2020. “Claimants allege investments sold to them beginning in 2013 were unsuitable and too risky based on their desire to avoid long term, illiquid investments.” The customer is seeking $87,500 in damages.
  • September 2020. “Customer alleges that investments sold to him in 2014 were unsuitable based on his desire to protect his principal.” The customer is seeking $315,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint is regarding real estate securities and closed-end funds and took place while Head was registered with Voya Financial Advisors, Inc.

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Voya Financial Advisors, Inc. may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Head’s customers.
