Hein has been the subject of two customer complaints between 2011 and 2020, one of which was closed without action, according to his CRD report:
December 2020. “Claimant alleges negligence, gross negligence, over-concentration, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, material misrepresentations and omissions and failure to supervise relating to the sale of multiple alternative investments in 2015.” The customer is seeking $256,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding direct investments, real estate securities, and business development companies (BDCs).
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Kestra Investment Services, LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Hein’s customers.
