He was registered with International Assets Advisory, LLC in Westfield, Indiana, from 2023 to 2024, and Morgan Stanley in Indianapolis, Indiana, from 2013 to 2023, when he was terminated regarding, “Allegations related to entering transactions in clients’ accounts without receiving verbal confirmation immediately beforehand and engaging in off-platform written communications about Firm business.”

He has been the subject of three customer complaints between 2023 and 2024, according to his CRD report:

February 2024. “Claimant Alleges, inter alia, unsuitability with respect to investments – January 2019 through August 2022.” The case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding exchange traded funds (ETFs) and variable annuities

September 2023. “Claimant alleged, inter alia, that the investment strategy executed in the client’s account was unsuitable 2017- 2023.” The customer sought $300,000 in damages, and the case was settled for $77,500. The complaint was regarding ETFs. 

September 2023. “Trustee verbally alleged certain transactions involving the purchase of various metals in the account were not authorized.” The case was settled for $20,000. The complaint was regarding ETFs. 

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Morgan Stanley may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Theodore Byrer’s customers.
